MICHAEL OWEN is facing another spell on the sidelines after damaging his groin in training.

The Manchester United striker's injury curse struck again at the club's Carrington training base on Monday afternoon.

Owen was taking part in a shooting session when he pulled up and immediately walked off the pitch, telling coaching staff his "groin had gone."

He was sent for scans yesterday and United expect to discover today how long the 31-year-old will be out of action.

Owen has made only six league appearances this season, scoring one goal, but was on target last month in the 2-1 FA Cup victory at Southampton.

He was out for three months after a hamstring problem picked up in October, but was pencilled in to face Sun-sponsored non-leaguers Crawley Town at Old Trafford in Saturday's televised fifth-round tie.

Lepas Owen Hargreaves yg asyik injured..sorang lagi yg juga asyik kena badi "INJURED' iaitu Micheal Owen pun terpaksa berehat lagi!! Semua ni gara2 dia cedera pada bahagian 'GROIN' masa latihan.... kesiannyer!! Padahal dia mungkin akan diturunkan pada malam sabtu ni dalam perlawanan FA Cup menentang Crawley..tapi apakan daya dah nasib badan dia..huhuhu..terpaksa la dia berehat!! Berapa lama..?? Tu tak dapat dipastikan lagi..!! Aku cuma berharap yg si Owen ni tabah menghadapi segala dugaan coz for me u are a very GOOD and TALENTED player..cuma injury jer yg membuatkan kau tak dapat bermain musim demi musim!!
