Manchester United want to sign Enzo Zidane, son of former World Footballer of the Year Zinedine Zidane, according to Gazzetta dell Sport.
The 16-year-old is currently with Real Madrid but is interesting plenty of Europe's elite, namely Juventus.
But along with two of Zidane senior's former club come United, who are the front runners for the Frenchman's signature.
United have competition with Belgian side Standard Liege, who want to sign the attacking midfielder on loan.
Sir Alex Ferguson is keen to find a long term replacement for Paul Scholes and with Enzo shaping up to be in the mould of the former England midfielder he could make an excellent acquisition at Old Trafford.
Zidane senior had a glittering career with both Juventus and Madrid becoming the World's most expensive player when moving between the two clubs in 2001 after winning both the World Cup, where he scored where goals in the final, and the European Championships.
While United are fighting it out with Juventus and Liege, Spain and France are ado trying to fight for the teen, as both are keen for him to represent them at international.
The Old Trafford club are expected to be busy this summer as they chase down the 'new Pele' Neymar, Javier Pastore and Ashley Young.
