Manchester United want to sign Inter midfielder Wesley Sneijder and Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko, according to a report in The Daily Star.

Goal.com UK exclusively revealed on Saturday that Ferguson has been assured of a £50 million summer transfer kitty by the Glazer family, in addition to whatever he can make from player sales.

And Ferguson is reported to have set his sights high. Sneijder is favourite to win the Ballon d'Or, after a stellar season which saw him win the treble with Inter, as well as reach the World Cup final with the Netherlands.

He is seen by many as being the perfect replacement for United legend Paul Scholes, who could hang up his boots at the end of the season.

Dzeko is a striker who has been courted by several of the top clubs in Europe. AC Milan are the Bosnian's preferred destination but he has also attracted the interest of Manchester City.

The striker has scored 61 goals in 102 games for Wolfsburg, and scored a fantastic header against United at Old Trafford last season.

Ferguson will have a tough job on his hands getting Dzeko off Wolfsburg manager Steve McClaren, but it is known that the Bosnian wants to move to a bigger club.
