Manchester United Could Replace Rooney With Alexandre Pato

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has been an admirer of the young Brazillian striker and would welcome the opportunity to sign him if Wayne Rooney leaves the club.

Pato has impressed since emergence as a prolific striker in Seria A for AC Milan with an impressive 40 goals in 81 league games and is valued at around £45m.

AC Milan currently have strikers Zlatan Ibrahimovic  and Robinho on loan with an option to buy them so with sufficient cover for Pato a move maybe possible if United offer the right price.
