Arsenal's players today gave Premier League champions Manchester United a guard of honour to mark their impressive title victory.
There had been speculation the two clubs' status as rivals, as well as former captain Robin van Persie's summer transfer to United, would encourage the home side to resist continuing the long-standing tradition.
But after manager Arsene Wenger had revealed a desire to do so, his side produced the painful guard of honour and applauded champions United onto the pitch for today's match.
United have little beyond pride to play for for the rest of the season, although the uncertainty surrounding Wayne Rooney's future and the atmosphere around Van Persie's return may make those two believe otherwise.
Arsenal, however, will be desperate to win and must do so to give themselves the greatest possible chance of reaching the top four and qualifying for next season's Champions League.
Fans at The Emirates were largely respectful of the guard of honour, though there were also some boos, most of which appeared to be aimed at former striker Van Persie.

TOP 10 greatest COMEBACKS from the COMEBACK KING!!!

Man Utd SUPER SUB..
MANCHESTER UNITED 3 BARCELONA 0 (3-2 ON AGGREGATE), 1984 EUROPEAN CUP WINNERS' CUP QUARTER-FINAL
Fergie's not the only manager to have inspired memorable Man United comebacks. In the first leg of this European tie, Ron Atkinson's Red Devils lost 2-0 at the Nou Camp and few gave them any chance against a Barcelona team containing Diego Maradona. A diving header from Bryan Robson on 22 minutes brought a packed Old Trafford to life in the second leg and Captain Marvel did the business again to level things after 50 minutes. Frank Stapleton popped up with the winner two minutes later to complete a remarkable comeback.
MANCHESTER UNITED 2 Sheffield Wednesday 1, 1992/93 PREMIER LEAGUE
The comeback that launched an era of Fergie title domination and questionable time keeping at Old Trafford. A year earlier, Man United had blown the title with three defeats over Easter and they were in danger of throwing it away again in 1993. Neck and neck with Aston Villa in the league, United trailed Sheffield Wednesday after 86 minutes when Steve Bruce popped up to equalise. Desperately needing a win, Bruce produced a winner as seven minutes of injury time were played and a vital three points helped Fergie clinch United's first title in 26 years.

MANCHESTER CITY 2 MANCHESTER UNITED 3, 1993/94 PREMIER LEAGUE
Niall Quinn put Man City two up by half-time of this derby at Maine Road in November 1993, before a goal from Eric Cantona gave the visitors hope after 52 minutes. As the minutes ticked away, it looked as though it would be nothing more than a consolation, until Cantona grabbed the equaliser 13 minutes from time. Summer signing Roy Keane clinched a dramatic winner after 86 minutes to shatter City and United were on their way to a double-winning season.

MANCHESTER UNITED 2 LIVERPOOL 1, 1999 FA CUP FOURTH ROUND
Five months before the injury time comeback against Bayern clinched the treble, Manchester United laid the foundations for a remarkable season with a dramatic late victory over their arch rivals. Michael Owen gave Liverpool the lead after just two minutes of this FA Cup fourth round tie at Old Trafford and, with just two minutes remaining, the Reds were on the brink of knocking out United. Dwight Yorke grabbed the equaliser on 88 minutes, before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stunned Liverpool with a last gasp winner. Bayern Munich really should have watched this game before the Champions League final.
JUVENTUS 2 MANCHESTER UNITED 3, 1999 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SEMI-FINAL
This Champions League semi-final win was arguably a greater comeback than the final itself. Juventus had appeared in the previous three finals and comprehensively outplayed Man United in the first leg, as Fergie's team scrambled a last minute equaliser to grab a draw. With 11 minutes gone in Turin, Juventus were 2-0 up and cruising, but United kept going and a goal from Roy Keane after 24 minutes turned the tie on its head. By half-time United were level and after 84 minutes Andy Cole grabbed a deserved winner. Against all the odds, Manchester United were through to the final…

BAYERN MUNICH 1 MANCHESTER UNITED 2, 1999 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL
Do we really need to tell you what happened in this final? Ok, Bayern were 1-0 up after six minutes and only the crossbar saved United from going 2-0 down in a match largely dominated by the German side. Two goals from injury time set pieces sealed the most incredible finale to a cup final in football history. Football, bloody hell!

TOTTENHAM 3 MANCHESTER UNITED 5, 2001/02 PREMIER LEAGUE
Spurs totally outplayed defending champions Man United in the first half, going in at the break 3-0 to the good. In the second half, however, Fergie's United were simply sensational, scoring within a minute of the restart courtesy of Andy Cole. By the 76th minute Juan Sebastian Veron had made it 4-3, with David Beckham completing a stunning comeback three minutes from time.
EVERTON 2 MANCHESTER UNITED 4, 2006/07 PREMIER LEAGUE
Without a title in four years – and that is a disastrous drought for Fergie – Man United were battling defending champions Chelsea for the Premier League. With three games to play and three points clear of the Blues, United travelled to Goodison Park and found themselves trailing 2-0 after 50 minutes. An own goal from Old Trafford old boy Phil Neville put them level with 20 minutes to go and a Chris Eagles goal on 90 minutes sealed a 4-2 win. With Chelsea only managing a point on the same day, the title was well and truly on its way back to Old Trafford.

MANCHESTER UNITED 5 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 2, 2008/09 PREMIER LEAGUE
Another five goal comeback against Spurs, this time at home and 'only' trailing 2-0 at half-time, but a win that sent Manchester United top and shattered title-chasing hopefuls Liverpool. A dodgy penalty got United back in the game after 57 minutes, three goals in four minutes from Rooney and Ronaldo put them 4-2 up after 71 minutes, before Dimitar Berbatov capped a crucial win that gave Fergie's side an unstoppable title-winning momentum.

WEST HAM 2 MANCHESTER UNITED 4, 2010/11 PREMIER LEAGUE
Incredible as it may seem now, after 64 minutes of this match Man United were seemingly going to be just one point clear of second-placed Arsenal as the season entered April, with the Gunners playing their game in hand at home against struggling Blackburn later the same day. Fergie's team were 2-0 down to the relegation-threatened Hammers and were lucky not to be reduced to ten-men, when Nemanja Vidic brought down Demba Ba as he beared down on goal just before half-time. Javier Hernandez came off the bench at the break, but it was Wayne Rooney who scored a 14-minute hat-trick to turn the game and the title race around, controversially swearing into a TV camera in celebration. Hernandez put the seal on an incredible win with six minutes remaining and this vital three points deflated the chasing pack, none of which could catch United.

UCL Result : Man Utd 3 vs Braga 1

RvP starts Man Utd COMEBACK..

MANCHESTER UNITED surged into the knockout stages of the Champions League after beating Braga — and a blackout.

The lights went out in the second half with United trailing 1-0. But they stormed back to retain their 100 per cent group record and boss Alex Ferguson believes they can shine all the way to glory.Fergie roared: “I think in terms of the history of our club, we should have won the European Cup more.“I want to win it again and get into the bracket of winners like Liverpool, our biggest rivals, Bayern Munich and Ajax.
“I think AC Milan and Real Madrid have got separated from the rest of the bunch but that definitely drives me on a bit in Europe.Ferguson has won the trophy twice during his 26 years in charge at Old Trafford. He added: “I get really frustrated when I think about the opportunities we have had to win it in the past.“But you can’t be too greedy.“I look at my career and I have won two European Cups and Cup Winners’ Cups and I am extremely proud of that.” (continues)

Finally..Sir Alex Statue will be at Old Trafford!!!

Next..Sir Alex Statue..:p
Manchester United is delighted to announce today - on the 26th anniversary of Sir Alex Ferguson's appointment - that a statue of Britain’s most successful football manager will be unveiled at Old Trafford on Friday 23 November at 14:00 GMT.
The unveiling will take place the day before United’s home match with Queens Park Rangers, concidentally the same opponents Sir Alex faced in his first home game in charge on 22 November 1986. Key figures from the manager’s time at United will be in attendance to share the occasion.
The statue by renowned sculptor Philip Jackson was commissioned to mark the manager’s quarter of a century in charge of Manchester United. It will be placed in a prominent position near the entrance to the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand - formerly the North Stand which was renamed in his honour last year.
The club will also be unveiling new artwork and installations in the Sir Alex Ferguson Stand concourses which will illustrate the manager’s achievements throughout his United career.
Details for fans wishing to attend the ceremony will be communicated in due course.

EPL Result : Man Utd 2 vs Arsenal 1

ALEX FERGUSON said the game would be ‘hard-ish’ — in the end it wasn’t even that.

The scoreline might suggest a tight humdinger. The evidence at Old Trafford provided anything but.
These used to be hard-fought, full-blooded, controversial, breath-taking encounters. Not yesterday. It was as one-sided as the same fixture last season which ended 8-2. “Nowhere near Manchester United-Arsenal games of the past,” commented Ferguson.
Robin van Persie said afterwards that United should have scored three or four more and he was right.
At least, in a time of chaos in our game, Van Persie showed a bit of class. Not only in his finish after two minutes and 38 seconds but in his reaction afterwards. He had suffered some awful bile from those that used to worship him. (continue)
TOP OF THE LEAGUE...!! Ermm, sory la aku tak update score utk Carling Cup..Man Utd tewas 5-4 selepas extra time!! Kalo aku post result tu..entah apa2 yg aku akan melalut nanti!! Berbalik ke game Man Utd vs Arsenal..member2 MU aku semua gi melayan kat The Strand Damansara dgn ESPN tapi aku layan jela game ni kat umah...ujan punya angkara!! Game ni bole dikatakan MEN vs BOYS skali lagi..MU menang selesa cuma last minit je terlepas CLEANSHEET dek gol Cazorla!! Takpela, yang penting MENANG...RvP lak skor dlm 3 min pertama and tunjukan kat Arsenal why they missed him and why United pay 24mil for him!! Goal kedua dijaringkan oleh kapitan Mr Patrice Evra..!!

ALEX FERGUSON reckons he can solve Manchester United’s spot-kick crisis.. “I think I’ll take one myself next week — then we’ll score.”

Man Utd kalo tak bole menang besor lagi..Wazza bole terlepas lak sepakan penalti di akhir separuh masa pertama!! Dah 4 kali dah Man Utd tak skor dari penalty kick ni..mula2 RvP,Chicha, Nani and now Rooney lak!! Chicha's winning goal..
FIRST win at Stamford Bridge in a DECADE...!! "United NEVER had a LUCK when they came to this place..today they riding their LUCK.."said the commentator..!!

Arrghh...whatever la...yg penting 3 mata!! Semua boleh kata salah referee bila MU main 11 vs 9 org...Chicha goal is offside..tapi semua pun perlu ingat yg setiap kali MU datang Stamford Bridge, LUCK Man Utd mmg boleh dikatakan takde la..comentator pun akui..mcm yg aku highlite kat atas tu!! Kalo nak salahkan referee..Liverpool kena salahkan referee gak time Everton TAPI Arsenal kena berterima kasih pulak kat referee coz benarkan gol Arteta semalam ketika menentang QPR!! Ermm..entahla,kalo nak borak or tulis pasal referee ni sampai bila pun tak abis..sometime u get it..some time u dont..SO GET ON WITH IT!!

Ok la ..berbalik pada game tadi!! Game mmg OPEN..BEST tengok...!!! MU leading 2-0 dalam 12 minit pertama hasil jaringan RvP20 dan gol sendiri Luiz..then Chelsea dapat skor 2 minit sebelom halftime thru Juan Mata!! Masuk second half Chelsea dapat menyamakan kedudukan thru Ramires..then permainan kembali open dgn kedua pasukan saling menyerang!! GGMU...

UCL Result : Man Utd (3) vs Braga (2)

Man Utd Hero - The Flying Pea..

ANOTHER day and another Manchester United comeback.

Eight times they have gone behind this season — and on six occasions they have come out winners.
How far this habit can take them remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, though. It certainly makes for some entertaining games.
United have played 12 matches in the current campaign which have brought 44 goals — 15 of them for the opposition.Yet as Alex Ferguson pointed out at the weekend, they certainly have the attacking threat to dig them out of a hole.
This time it was forgotten man Javier Hernandez returning in timely fashion to star billing.

After a spectacular first season, he struggled last time round as United ended up potless. Ferguson has always thrilled at his movement in the area to sniff out an opportunity and last night it was back on display from the dangerous Mexican.

The boss will now be hoping the confidence this gives can see him return to the goalscoring form of the second half of 2010-11.Hernandez bagged a double with his head as United pulled back from two goals down after 20 minutes to take all three points.(Continues)

The COMEBACK KING...!! Kalau tak buat hati aku dug dag dug dag memang tak sah..tu la bahana menjadi penyokong Man Utd ni!! Tapi sebab tu jugakla aku masih setia and menjadi penyokong tegar United..the excitement..the thrill..the COMEBACK..its worth it wa cakap sama lu!! Pagi tadi defence ada sikit longgar coz Carrick n Evans plus Buttner yg main back four..so persefahaman tu mcm takde la!! Apa pun..walau ketinggalan 2-0 dalam 20 minit pertama di laman sendiri lagi..mcm biasa, I B.E.L.I.E.V.E Man Utd will comeback!! Buktinya, dua jaringan LITTLE PEA dan satu lagi dari Evans mengekalkan rekod 100% United dalam UCL musim ni!! So ONE more win from 3 match is enuff for Man Utd to get thru to the next round..i guess!! GGMU...

Happy family..
Today 24th October..aku nak amik kesempatan ni utk ucapkan HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Wayne  Mark Rooney yg ke 27tahun..!! Hopefully u can be another 'RYAN GIGGS' who stay with United for long long time and become UNITED LEGENDS!! GGMU again..ekeke!!
