Sir Alex Ferguson will target a big money move for Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger and has placed the German international at the very top of his wish-list. The Manchester United boss sees the 26 year old as an ideal long term replacement for veteran Paul Scholes and will fight hard to lure the talented goal scoring midfielder in the summer.Ferguson feels he could convince Schweinsteiger, now in his ninth season in the Bayern Munich first team, to leave the Allianz Arena in search of a new challenge after securing five Bundesliga titles and various assorted domestic honours.Manchester United will face a fight with a number of other prospective bidders as the likes of Inter Milan and Chelsea have also reported an interest in the £35m rated German. Wayne Rooney had demanded an improvement on the current squad and the Glazers have confirmed they will back Sir Alex in the transfer market and thus the club have the funds to make a significant bid for Schweinsteiger.Ferguson has a number of concerns in the midfield department with the likes of Anderson and Michael Carrick failing to impress and with Owen Hargreaves constantly sidelined a lot of pressure has been placed back on the shoulders of 35 year old Scholes and as such the need to bring in a top notch replacement.

Sir Alex Ferguson believes he shouldn't be replaced as Manchester United boss by a young man

Sir Alex Ferguson says the Wayne Rooney saga has proved that Manchester United must not look for a young boss when he eventually retires.

Ferguson was still an ambitious 45-year-old when he took over at Old Trafford in 1986 and had never managed in England before then.

But he believes the complexities of the modern game mean United couldn’t afford to take a similar gamble again.

Ferguson said: 'I don’t think it’s harder for managers to deal with – I’ve just got the benefit of having been at the club for such a long time.

'I have experienced a lot of things that do happen and there have been times in the past when I have gone down the same road.

'When you are the manager of our club, you have to have someone strong who can deal with all the issues and we have had to be strong over the years.

'That’s why I don’t think Manchester United could ever go down the road of having a young manager, to be honest with you.Off the main contenders to replace Ferguson when he eventually retires, Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho will be 48 in February, while Everton boss David Moyes is 47 and Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill 58.

Ferguson Hails Defensive Duo..!!

Sir Alex Ferguson believes his first-choice central defensive partnership of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand can steer Manchester United back on track after their superb performance in the 2-1 Barclays Premier League win at Stoke.

Injury has hampered Ferdinand for the last two seasons and Sunday's narrow win was only the third time the duo have played alongside each other in the league all season.

Ferguson said: "It doesn't matter when you come here, it is always a difficult time. It is one of the hardest places to come in the league. They are such an enthusiastic and motivated team they make you play all the time. Both our central defenders will have sore heads. Rio and Nemanja were fantastic, really fantastic."

He added: "You have to defend well because they get so many set-pieces and throw-ins. They got a lot of free-kicks and you have to defend them well.

"We did defend well and if we can defend like that for the rest of the season we will be back to a real solid determination to deal with all these things which will make some difference to us."

Yeahh...memang sudah aku jangkakan!! Dengan kembalinya Rio aku rasa keyakinan Vidic pun bertambah..bukannye Evans tak bagus tapi belum cukup matang lagi jer!! My YFF Week Result

Yeehaaa..top 300 tu!! Minggu ni cuma keeper aku yg tak bagi poin langsung..Brunt and Van Der Vaart antara penyumbang terbesar. Drogba n Tevez yg aku harapkan minggu ni tak menjadi la pulak!! Tapi takpe..atleast player2 aku maintain and akhirnya team aku berjaya memecah masuk TOP 300..lepas ni target TOP 100 pulak!!

Team FPL aku minggu ni agak memberangsangkan berbanding average result team2 lain yg aku tengok..si Kombet pun dah berjaya memotong kelebihan aku dari 50 menjadi 25 poin jer!! Ni berkat si Nasri la ni..skor 1 assist 1..aku tak amik la pulak!! Takpela Kombet..minggu ni minggu kau BUT next week minggu aku pulak n' minggu2 berikutnya!! wakakaka... :p

Ferguson had been given the green light by United’s controversial owners, the Glazer family, to spend £22 million on Bale and in excess of £30 million on France international winger Ribery.Bale had finished last season in fine style. The kind of form he has taken on and topped this season culminating in last week’s spectacular hat-trick against Inter Milan in the San Siro.

Macam yang aku dah coretkan sebelum ni aku rasa Bale memang calon paling sesuai utk menggantikan Giggsy..Ribery pulak memang player yang bagus tapi dia injured memanjang!!
